Our mission is to
· foster an understanding of the interdependence of people and animals, recognizing the unique qualities of companion animals
· develop awareness of the means by which animals communicate in order to increase safe interactions between people and companion animals
· provide specific guidelines for safe interactions between people and companion animals
· promote responsible care of companion animals, including spaying and neutering
· provide information to educational institutions at all levels, especially beginning with kindergarten and elementary school levels
